1. Colored PVC Neon Light End Caps
These PVC caps do not provide waterproofing.
They only cover and conceal cut ends of the light strip, giving a neat appearance. Therefore, we do not recommend PVC caps for outdoor use.
2. Square Silicone Neon Light End Caps
Square silicone caps are waterproof.
They are compact and thin-walled, designed mainly for silicone neon lights in sizes 6mm×12mm and 8mm×16mm. Their design allows them to fit tightly over cut ends and creat a nearly invisible seal. Therefore, this makes them particularly suitable for LED neon signs with multiple cut sections.
More importantly, the acrylic used in neon sign designs is pre-grooved to house the neon tubes. Thicker end caps would increase the overall width at both ends of the tube. As a result, the tube would not fit into the grooves and could not be installed. However, these thinner square silicone neon light end caps solve this problem perfectly.
3. Round Silicone Neon Light End Caps
Round silicone caps also offer waterproof protection.
Their shape better matches the curved profile of the neon light housing. In practice, they provide a more durable feel and are commonly used in 3-meter or 5-meter neon light sets to seal the ends of longer continuous strips.
4. Spout Silicone Neon Light End Caps
Spout caps feature a duckbill-like protruding tube at the front. Also, they are waterproof.
This design extends the waterproofing path and enhances overall water resistance. And they are especially suitable for neon lights installed fully outdoors, such as on exterior walls. However, the protruding spout can be difficult to conceal, so these caps are often used in larger projects where strong waterproofing is required.
