Quality Control
We would rather eliminate all defective products inside our factory than allow a defect rate exceeding 0.2% to erode customer trust. Through stringent IQC, IPQC, and FQC protocols, we maintain a defect rate consistently below 0.2% (2‰). One Zero commits to being your reliable LED neon manufacturer.
1. Incoming Quality Control (IQC): Strict Raw Material Inspection
High-grade LED neon flex starts with uncompromising raw material standards. Every batch of raw materials undergoes rigorous verification before entering the production line, ensuring flawless component compatibility, exceptional long-term reliability, and superior optical performance for your demanding projects.
1.1. Flexible Printed Circuit Board (FPC) — 4-Step Verification
- Quantity & Weight Cross-Check: One Zero verifies both the quantity and exact weight of incoming FPC batches to ensure suppliers adhere to full specifications without cutting corners on copper weight or material quantity.
- PCB Width Tolerance & Dimension Control: Dimensional consistency is strictly checked to ensure the FPC glides smoothly through internal extrusion molds. This prevents mold jamming, mechanical stress, strain scratches, or board snapping during encapsulation.
- Copper Foil Thickness & Texture Analysis: One Zero inspects the copper thickness and sample the internal copper purity under the film cover. Substantial, high-purity copper ensures high current-carrying capacity, minimal voltage drop, and exceptional mechanical durability.
- Custom Alignment Grid Inspection (Proprietary Process): Using its custom-designed alignment grid, we verify circuit layouts across every batch. Ensuring 100% circuit alignment consistency completely eliminates SMT misalignments caused by solder paste stencil positioning errors.

1.2 LED Chips — Parameter Verification & Anti-Oxidation Sealing
- Full Parameter Matching: Every incoming LED batch is verified against strict technical specifications, including voltage, chip brand, package size, luminous flux (lumens), wattage, Color Rendering Index (CRI), Color Temperature (CCT), and Binning code.
- Anti-Oxidation Vacuum Packaging: Immediately after inspection, opened LED packs are resealed in airtight anti-oxidation bags. This prevents lead pin oxidation, ensuring optimal solder paste adhesion during SMT and guaranteeing long-term LED reliability.
1.3 Resistors & Components
- Brand & Resistance Verification: One Zero cross-checks resistor brands, footprint sizes, and resistance values to guarantee precise current regulation and circuit stability.
1.4 PVC & Silicone Materials — Documentation & Physical Inspection
- Compliance & Batch Verification: Upon arrival, we strictly verify the supplier’s Factory Inspection Report, material certifications, and batch numbers to guarantee full compliance with order specifications and environmental standards.
- PVC Pellet Visual Inspection: One Zero inspects PVC pellets for color consistency, screening out any clumps, impurities, or black spots. Particle sizes are strictly kept uniform to prevent surface defects during extrusion or injection molding.
- Silicone Inspection & Tensile Strength Testing: Silicone raw materials are checked for odors, surface crystallization, impurities, or color contamination. One Zero also conducts tensile strength testing to ensure optimal flexibility and toughness, preventing molding issues and ensuring excellent bendability during installation.
2. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC): 4-Stage Light-On Inspection Method
During the production process, we implements a four-stage proactive AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) testing protocol, intercepting defects on the production line in real-time. This rigorous control framework keeps its field failure rate below 0.2%.
Stage 1: SMT Placement & Low-Voltage Micro-Current Light Test
- Automated Solder Paste Printing: One Zero uses premium solder paste combined with imported fully automated printing and SMT equipment. This eliminates human errors—such as insufficient paste (causing weak bonds) or paste splashing (causing subtle bridging and micro-current leaks).
- Low-Voltage Fault Detection: After SMT placement, the boards enter a high-temperature furnace where the liquid solder paste is heated to automatically solidify, firmly locking the LEDs, resistors, and other components onto the circuit board. Once cooled, the semi-finished strips undergo their first powered light-on test using a low-voltage input. Applying a low voltage allows micro-currents to easily expose hidden solder bridging, cold solder joints, or poor connections that might pass unnoticed under full power.
- Strict Defect Handling & Process Tracing: Isolated defective units are immediately scrapped and removed. If a batch-level defect is detected, the entire production run is immediately halted and pulled from subsequent processes. One Zero analyses the root cause, evaluate component and process flaws, and re-procure improved, compliant raw materials before restarting production.
Stage 2: Automated Interconnection, Anti-Break Jumpers & Secondary Light Test
- Automated Interconnection for Solder Consistency: One Zero factory utilizes automated splicing equipment for internal LED neon PCB connections. This improves assembly speed and maintains highly uniform solder paste thickness across every joint, effectively preventing mold jamming during the extrusion encapsulation process.
- 1st Physical Anti-break Defense Line (Reinforced Jumper Wires): At every 0.5-meter PCB joint, we specially adds dedicated anti-break jumper wires. This critical process serves as a robust barrier against solder joint fracture, effectively eliminating the common industry pain point where connection failure causes the tail end of the light strip to go dark during customer usage.
- Secondary Low-Voltage Light Test: Immediately after splicing and board splitting, One Zero conducts a second low-voltage current inspection. This thoroughly eliminates hidden risks of cold/loose solder joints and localized over-current issues (flare-ups) that may occur during splicing, ensuring a 100% pass rate for the bare PCB strips before entering the encapsulation stage.

Stage 3: Extrusion Encapsulation, Anti-Break Shims & Static Protection
- Dimensional Tolerance Monitoring: During silicone or PVC extrusion, dimensional cross-sections are continuously measured to ensure strict adherence to order tolerance specs.
- Rated-Voltage ESD Detection: The extruded neon flex undergoes active lighting testing under its rated operational voltage. This detects any LEDs damaged by Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) during extrusion. Isolated failures are repaired immediately, while batch anomalies trigger an immediate line shutdown for root-cause analysis.
- 2nd Anti-Break Defense Line (Internal Anti-Break Shims): For medium-to-large silicone neon flex models, One Zero inserts specialized anti-break shims inside the profile during extrusion. This double-layer physical reinforcement protects the flexible circuit board during field installation, preventing “one side on, one side off” power failures.
Stage 4: Optical Testing, Aging & 100% Light Test
- Integrating Sphere & Photometric Testing: After cooling and setting, samples are tested in an integrating sphere for CCT, CRI, lumen output, and subjected to aging tests.
- 100% Full-Length Inspection During Rolling: While winding the neon flex onto reels, every single meter is powered at rated voltage for a 100% active light check. This ensures that 100% of the product packed into the box operates flawlessly.

3. Final Quality Control (FQC): 3-Tier Shipping Verification
To ensure that every shipment matches your order specifications, quantity, and accessories with zero error, One Zero executes a strict 3-tier verification procedure before departure:
- Tier 1: Order Specialist & Sales Cross-Check. Order tracking specialists cross-examine all product specs, custom requirements, and quantities against the original client agreement with the account manager.
- Tier 2: Financial Approval & Production Dispatch. Once the order details are fully confirmed, it is submitted for financial review and approval before being officially dispatched to the production department. Upon production completion, the warehouse manager gathers all finished goods and corresponding accessories for staging.
- Tier 3: Dual-Sign Off Dispatch Inspection. Before packing into shipping cartons, the order specialist and warehouse manager physically inspect every item, verifying product labels, specs, and quantities together before signing off on release.
